This is a group designed to get knitters and crocheters together at least once during the month and share our projects and skill set. Beginner and Advanced needle workers are welcome. I am pretty good at crocheting and welcome anyone who wants to help with the knitting aspect of the group.

This group started on a Wednesday night way back in October 2006 and we used to meeting in a locations called Border's Bookstore in Columbia (now Books-A-Million). Wednesday night attendance grew and grew till Borders just could not hold us any more and we moved to Panera's Bread. We meet every Thursday evening at the La Madeline Restaurant at the Mid-Pike Plaza on Rockville Pike to share knitting and crochet advice projects, new patterns, yarn, show-and-tell our WIP's (works-in-progress) and FO's (finished objects), and talk about just anything. In 2009, after looking for a group in the Fairfax City area for sewers/knitters/quilters, etc. and not finding one quite close enough, I figured why not start one? Our group is for people looking to stitch with a group to complete all those projects we've started and not completed, and to gain inspiration from others on new projects. Our group is very diverse in experience level, age, and craft. I think that has led to the most fun! No two meet ups are ever the same.
